Agreed. More and more bands seem to be getting lazier and lazier with their cd layouts. Whether this reflects the labels cutting costs in reaction to the level of Internet piracy around at the moment or not I do not know. Smaller labels seem to take pride in the layout and I feel this to be the only legitimate way to tackle piracy levels. I get the impression larger labels are just giving a massive "fuck you" to the people that actually buy the releases. Saying that, I know Varg just googled fonts for the Belus cover! Let's hope it's only a temporary fling and artists realise the strength that a good visual aesthetic lends towards the atmosphere of the release!
